In April this year, Croatia will select a Miss Universe for the 22nd time.
The process to find Miss Universe Croatia begins this weekend in Zagreb when the first casting for those interested in competing in the prestigious event takes place.
To enter girls need to have Croatian citizenship, be aged between 18-28 on 1 January 2018, not be married, divorced or a mother.
“Over the past 21 years we had the opportunity to meet hundreds of exceptional girls, and all 21 of them have marked and enriched our lives in their own way. We are looking forward to the new generation and the girl who will take the title of Miss Universe of Croatia in 2018,” said Miss Universe Croatia Director Marija Kraljević announcing this year’s contest.
All interested girls who meet the criteria are invited to attend casting on Saturday 27 January 2018 from 11 am – 12 pm at Hotel Esplanade in Zagreb.
The current Miss Universe Croatia, Shanaelle Petty, enjoyed a successful year with the crown which culminated in a Top 16 finish at the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas in November.
The best-placed Croatian at Miss Universe since 1997 was in 2009 when Sarah Ćosić finished in the Top 15.
